Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 1/28/2020. There were 33 children present with nine staff supervising as well as the program director and an administrative staff person present. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Six Board officer and agent records were reviewed. There were no medications at the center.
The inspector arrived at the center at 3:00 pm and departed at 6:00 pm.
The children were observed at arrival, during supper time, during free time in the gym and on computers, and during departures.
Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that the children washed their hands or used disposable wipes after eating.
Evidence: 1. The children were observed to leave the cafeteria after eating and go straight to various activities including computer, homework and gym. The children did not wash their hands or use disposable wipes after eating.
Plan of Correction:
Staff will be reminded to ensure the children wash their hands or use disposable wipes after eating.

Description:
Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that staff sat with the children during meal times.
Evidence: 1. The supper meal was observed for the children from approximately 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm. There was no staff observed to sit with the children during the meal time.

Staff will be reminded to sit with the children during the meal time.
