An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, December 9, 2019 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The Director was present and participated in the inspection . The inspection was initiated at 9:50 am and concluded at 12:00 pm. Upon the inspectors arrival children were observed in a variety of activities. Children in the toddler class worked on puzzles, decorated a small Christmas tree, had snack and played with shakers in sensory. The three preschool classrooms were observed with children participating in work centers that included sorting plastic reptiles and animals, reviewing site words, fine motor skill activities (weaving, cutting) and working on double consonant sounds. Later children had lunch and prepared for nap time. Children provide their own lunch and the center provides snack. Today's snack consisted of cheerios and raisins. All areas of the facility were inspected to include the playground. The facility has age appropriate materials and supplies. The first aid kit and non-medical supplies were inspected and found complete. The facility had the following required information posted: license, last inspection notice, emergency numbers, daily schedule, evacuation procedures and snack menu. The inspector interacted with staff and children in care.
Seven staff records and seven children's records were reviewed.
Medications and authorizations were reviewed. Multiple staff have current MAT certification.
Staff have CPR, first aid and DHO training.
The most recent evacuation drill was documented on 11/14/2019. The two required shelter-in-place drill were completed on 04/16/2019 and 10/22/2019.
