Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on July 22, 2018 from 10:00am until 12:30pm. Upon arrival to the facility, there were 311 children present with 40 staff members. The children were observed participating in age appropriate activities, outdoor play, hand washing, eating lunch and swimming. A sample of 10 children's records and 9 staff records were reviewed. The licensing inspector toured the facility and reviewed supervision, emergency supplies, practice drills, nutrition, physical plant, required postings, and administration. A violation was cited in the area of background checks. An exit meeting was conducted with the facility director prior to the end of the inspection.
Based on record review and interview, the center failed to obtain a fingerprint background check for any staff who will be alone with, in control of, or supervising children prior to employment.
Evidence:
1. There was no fingerprint background check on file for staff #1.
a. Staff #1 has a hire date of 09/13/2018 and was observed caring for children in the licensed program during the inspection.
2. The program director confirmed that staff #1did not have fingerprint background checks on file.

Request for fingerprint check.
