An unannounced Subsidy and Health Inspection was conducted with in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice Training and current certification in First Aid and CPR. There were no allergy care plans to be reviewed. The most recent lock down drill was documented as 7/6/2021.

Based on review of staff records, the program did not ensure that staff who work directly with children completed at least 16 hours of training annually that included the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: 1. The records for Staff #1, Staff #2, and Staff #3 did not contain documentation of 16 hours of annual training. 2. The records for Staff #1, Staff #2, and Staff #3 did not contain documentation that the health and safety update course had been completed.
