Comments:
An unannounced complaint investigation was initiated on 06/22/22 and concluded on 06/29/22 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 06/22/22 regarding reports and procedures for emergencies. Observation, interviews, and record reviews were conducted related the allegations. The information gathered did not support the allegations making the complaint not valid however; an additional violation was cited and is detailed on the Violation Notice.
Based on record review and it was determined that the center did not inform the department's representative as soon as practicable, but not more than two business days, of any injury to a child while under the vendor's supervision when a referral is made for treatment from a medical professional. Evidence: 1. The center did not inform the department's representative until 6/30/22 of a child's injury requiring outside medical attention on 6/21/22. 2. The center stated that they did not feel that the injury rose to the level of needing to report as per the subsidy requirement.
Plan of Correction:
The center will ensure reports of any injury to a child while in care that requires outside medical treatment to the department's representative as soon as practical but no later than two business days.
