Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 12/05/2022. There were 7 children, ages 16 months- 3 years, totaling 16 points, and one care giver supervising present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 children?s records, one caregiver record and one household member records were reviewed. The children were observed having a morning snack, during morning circle time and in free choice activities. The inspector discussed background check expirations with the provider. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 10:00 am and departed at 11:15 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that programs that serve preschool-age children shall be equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
Evidence: The program was not equipped with a carbon monoxide detector. The children in care were preschool-age children.
Plan of Correction:
Will get a carbon monoxide detector.
