A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on January 23, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 11:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. There were ten children in the care of the provider and one assistance for a total of twenty-six points. Five children's records were reviewed. The record for the provider, one household member and two assistants were also reviewed. No medication is being administered at this time. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Areas observed were lunch, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, free choice, music and nap. Emergency supplies were checked as well as the water and refrigerator temperatures. Interactions between the children and providers were observed as appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with their daily routine and schedule.
