Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 10:10am through 11:30am. There were a total of 5 children present (9 points) ranging between ages 2 and 5 years with the provider. A total of 5 children?s files, the provider's file, and 1 household member?s files were reviewed. The children were engaged in self selection of age appropriate toys and preparing to go outside. Positive interactions between the provider and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, evacuation drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov.
Based on record review, the provider does not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) issued within the past 2 years.
Evidence: The provider's most recent CPR certification was issued 12/8/17.
Plan of Correction:
I will complete CPR/First Aid training within the next 3 weeks.
