Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/17/2021 and concluded on 05/20/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household records submitted by the licensee to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on observation the licensee did not have child-resistant protective covers on all unused electrical outlets. Evidence: There was an electrical outlet in the kitchen that did not have a protective cover.
Plan of Correction:
The following plan of correction was provided by the licensee during the exit interview. A protective cover was placed over the electrical outlet during the inspection.
