The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and
monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the
Virginia Department of Social Services. Guidance, resources and training links can be found on the new website: childcareva.com.

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted onsite today. There were a total of 4 children in care under the supervision of the Provider. When the Licensing Inspector arrived 3 children were seated at the table and one in the highchair. Lunch was being served. The children expressed how good the lunch which was pasta and vegetables and beans were. Observation of the program area was made. The home provided ample equipment and toys that were age appropriate for the children in care. The children's artwork was drying. Provider stated that a letter is reviewed with the children daily with them. Observation of the outside area where the children play was also made. There have been no new children enrolled and no new staff from the last inspection. All records and certifications and background checks remain current. Thank you for your cooperation today.
