A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 18, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 11:05 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Five children records were reviewed. The records for the provider and two household members were reviewed and updated. There were 10 children in care along with the provider and assistant for points totaling thirty-one. No medication is being administered at the present. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Areas observed; emergency supplies were inspected, first aid kit, required postings were observed, lunch preparation, lunch, hand washing/diapering and bathroom procedures, and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as positive and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine and schedule.
