I will forward the results of the central registry background check to my inspector within 30 days.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on December 4, 2020 and concluded on December 8, 2020. The provider was contacted to initiate the inspection. There were 3 children present and 1 caregiver. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 1 caregivers record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on review of caregiver's record, the record does not contain all required information. Evidence: Caregiver #1 does not have documentation of a current central registry background check.
Plan of Correction:
I sent the background check in, but did not receive the results back. I will follow up with them and forward the results to the inspector within 30 days.
