A complaint was received by the licensing office on December 13, 2023, regarding behavior guidance, forbidden actions, staff qualifications, and training. An investigation was initiated on December 14, 2023, and concluded on January 12, 2024. Interviews were conducted and records were reviewed. Based on the preponderance of evidence, the complaint regarding training is deemed valid. Violations cited can be found on the violation notice. Based on record review, the center failed to ensure that each staff completed annually a minimum of 16 hours of training appropriate to the age of children in care.
Evidence: 1. Staff #2 hired date is 10/18/2022. Staff #2 completed 8 hours of training between 10/2022-10/2023. 2. Staff #4 hired date is 5/2009. Staff #4 completed 6 hours of training between 5/2022- 5/2023.
Plan of Correction:
We will ensure that all staff members employed in our Extended Day and Preschool programs will complete the required number of annual training hours. This will be kept in the employee file.
