Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/08/2020 and concluded on 06/16/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children in care the day of the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children's records, 1 provider record and 1 household member record during the inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review and discussion, the provider failed to maintain a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Evidence: The cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification for Provider #1 expired in January 2020.
Plan of Correction:
The provider will enroll in a class as soon as possible.
