Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed medication policy and how written communications with parents of policy need to be consistent and accurate.
2. Discussed requirements for child enrollment forms to be completed fully with no blank spaces. Writing "N/A" is an acceptable rather than leaving a blank space.
3. Reviewed required bathroom supplies.
4. Discussed ensuring that there is no pet feces in the outdoor play space.
5. The inspector will send model forms, as discussed.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 12:40pm. Observed 11 children = 29 points with 3 caregivers. Upon arrival to the home there were 2 caregivers present with the provider arriving to the home within minutes of the inspection beginning. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were having nap time during the inspection. Infants were being held, fed, and napping. The caregivers were tending to the needs of the children and helping them to settle into the rest period. Lunch served was reported to include chicken noodle soup with carrots, apples, and milk. The provider participates in the child nutrition food program. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found.

Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 1 of 3 caregiver records did not include documentation of emergency preparedness plan training by the end of the first week of assuming job responsibilities. Evidence: There was no documentation that the training had been completed for Assistant #2 who began working 4/2/23. The provider said it was not done.

Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that electrical outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: An outlet in the bathroom used by the children did not have a cover, and another in the main daycare room located by the desk area. These outlets were within reach of the children.
