An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 8 children (19pts) with the Provider and 2 assistants were present today. The older children were seated at the table completing a painting project and a coloring activity. Staff were assisting them with making a holiday project. The younger children were playing in the smaller programming space and watching a video. Observation of the entire space was made. Diapering and handwashing procedures were observed during the inspection and lunch preparation was underway on the upper level of the home. No medication needs at this time and no identified food allergies. The home was found neat and maintained and age and stage equipment and toys and books were within reach of the children to encourage independence selection of activities. Legos, wooden blocks and interconnecting puzzle pieces were chosen and the children were engaged in small groups on the floor. A total of 4 children's records, 3 staff and 2 household records were reviewed today. Recordation was complete and organized. Previous violations from the last inspection were reviewed and corrective actions were verified. Thank you for your cooperation today. This inspection occurred between 10:30 and 11:40am.
