A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 25, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site inpsection was conducted from 2:50 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. There were twenty-two children in the care of two staff. Five children records and four staff records were reviewed. The board officer background checks were reviewed on September 24, 2019 at the Waynesboro location. No medication is being administered at the present. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Areas observed were: arrival, hand washing/bathroom procedures, snack, table disinfecting/cleaning, free choice activity and homework. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with their daily routine and schedule.
