8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/06/2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. There are no children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies. The last lockdown drill was documented on 10/26/23. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 5pm on 11/29/23.
Based on a review of documentation and interview with the provider, the provider did not maintain a written daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
