Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided in the following areas: 1. 550-P: The center shall maintain a written record of children's serious and minor injuries including the date and time parents were notified. 2. 80-A: For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 8/17/2022 from 8:30am through 9:50am. There were 31 children directly supervised by 10 staff and all classrooms were in ratio. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 4 staff records, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The center reported no medications were on site and they no longer administer medication. Children were observed participating in self-directed free play in centers and coloring letters and numbers. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. There was an adequate number of CPR/First Aid and Daily Health Observation trained staff on site at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure that hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: 1. In the 2's room, there were multiple cleaning supplies located on a shelf near the changing table and were not locked. 2. In the Preschool room, there were multiple cleaning supplies located on a shelf in the unlocked closet. 3. In the Pre-K 1 room, there were multiple cleaning supplies located on a shelf in the unlocked and closet and the closet door was slightly ajar.
