Technical Assistance:
The provider was reminded that children under two years of age cannot sleep with pillows on their cots.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between 12:10pm and 1:30pm. There were 5 children present with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of points 11 within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed celebrating a birthday by eating cupcakes, washing hands and napping. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. There is an ample amount of toys and supplies available to the children. The family day home is clean and well organized. Based on record review, child records did not contain all required information. Evidence: Child #1, Child #3 and Child #4 files did not contain documentation of an annual review of the child's emergency contact information.
