A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on August 29, 2022 and concluded on August 29, 2022. There were 86 children present with 12 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that five out of eight staff completed all required annual training. Evidence: The records for staff #1, staff #3, staff #6, staff #7, and staff #8 did not contain documentation of the department?s Health and Safety Update training. 2. A member of management stated that the Health and Safety Update training was not in the records for staff #1, staff #3, staff #6, staff #7, staff #8.
