Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:10am-1:00pm. There were 3 daycare children in care, and 2 non-daycare children (12 points) supervised by 2 direct care staff. The home, 2 staff records, 3 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed coloring, playing with Legos, and eating lunch. Lunch served was meatballs, noodles, mixed vegetables, bananas, and milk. Handwashing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review, 2 of 3 children's records did not contain the following information:
1. Child #1's (age: 22 months old) record did not contain documentation of the annual review of the child's emergency contact information as required by 22 VAC 40-111-780 B. The most recent documented review was dated 1/22/2019. 2. Child #3's (age: 5 years old) record did not contain documentation of written information for parents, and the annual review of the child's emergency contact information as required by 22 VAC 40-111-780 B. The most recent documented review was dated 1/25/2019.
Plan of Correction:
We will have the parents correct the information by next week.
