Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated and concluded on 7/09/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were (3) children present and (1) caregiver. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on interview, the provider did not have a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: 1. Provider stated child #2 has a diagnosed food allergy and does not have a written care plan that includes instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child in allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Plan of Correction:
I will ask the parent for the plan.
