A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 9:15am through 10:45am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 5 children ages 15 months to 4 years (13 points) were present with 2 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: reading books and engaging in organized center play. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, and 5 children's records, 2 staff records, and 2 household member files were reviewed. Both staff present are current in CPR/First Aid certification. The provider reported she does not administer medications and there is no medication on site.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
