Comments:
The Licensing Inspector for Grace Hills Baptist Church Early Learning Center conducted an unannounced Monitor Inspection on Thursday, December 5, 2019. Upon arrival at 9:45 AM, there were eighty-one (81) children ages 4 months ? 5 years old present under the direct care & supervision of thirteen (13) staff members. Staff and children records were reviewed during today?s inspection.
Violations found during the review of Religious Exempt Code requirements were reviewed with the Center Director during the exit interview. The Licensing Inspector also reviewed the Risk Assessment during the exit interview on December 5, 2019. Based on record review, the Center failed to ensure each employee, volunteer or any other person who is expected to be alone with one or more children enrolled has submitted documentation of completed Fingerprint Background Check before employment or commencement of service.
EVIDENCE: Licensing Inspector reviewed information for ten (10) members. Information for Staff #7 did not include evidence of completed fingerprinting Background Check.
Plan of Correction:
The Director will send documentation to the Licensing Inspector that the fingerprint background check has been requested no later than 10 days following this notification.
