Consultation was provided regarding recent legislative updates. Senate Bill 668, effective 7/1/2020, requires licensed family day home providers to obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history name search and sex offender registry check from any state in which a staff or household member has resided in the preceding five years. In addition, technical assistance was provided regarding requirements for meals and snacks.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was conducted on 12/17/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records, 2 staff records and 2 household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
