Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 1/29/2024. There were 4 children present with the provider. The children were observed during free play with various toys. A total of 4 child records, 1 staff record and 1 household member record were reviewed. The inspection started at 10 am and concluded at 11 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation and staff interview the center did not ensure that potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence: There was a spray bottle of Lime A Way cleaner labeled "keep out of reach of children" and at least one other statement "caution", "flammable" and "warning" in the bathroom the children use.
Plan of Correction:
Cleaner was removed and placed back in the locked cabinet.

Description:
(Repeat Violation) Based on observation and staff interview the center did not ensure the hot water at taps available to children shall be maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F. Evidence: The licensing inspector using a temperature gauge confirmed that the hot water registered 123?F at the sink in the bathroom where the children wash their hands.
Plan of Correction:
I purchased a thermostat mixing value. I also had the valve installed and now the temperature is set to the appropriate temperature

Description:
Based on observation and staff interview the center did not ensure that trampolines shall not be used during the hours children are in care.
Evidence: The staff confirmed there were 2 trampolines with handles in the outdoor play yard where the children play.
Plan of Correction:
Both trampolines have been removed.
