Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 between 10:00 am to 11:50 am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. During this inspection, there were no children in care, however reportedly there are six child enrolled at family day home. The family day home designated childcare areas were inspected. The provider's record and four children's record were reviewed during this inspection. The family day home's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on review of emergency preparedness procedures and interview with provider, the provider did not ensure to include lockdown procedures in emergency plan.
Evidence: In review of the emergency plan, there was no lockdown procedures included in the plan. Interview with provider confirmed that lockdown procedures were not included in the plan at this time.
Plan of Correction:
The provider will include the methods for lockdown procedures in emergency plan.
