The licensing inspector and administration reviewed Standard 22VAC40-185-560K which states that tables shall be sanitized before and after each use for feeding; and shall be cleaned at least daily. Standard 22VAC40-185-490C was also reviewed which states the following: "When children at the center have been exposed to a communicable disease listed in the Department of Health's current communicable disease chart, the parents shall be notified within 24 hours or the next business day of the center's having been informed unless forbidden by law, except for life threatening diseases, which must be reported to parents immediately."

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection on February 28, 2020 in response to a complaint received by our department on January 29, 2020. The inspector was on site from approximately 10:20 AM to 3:10 PM. Interviews with staff were completed, observations were made and documentation was reviewed. The allegations of the complaint were regarding preventing the spread of disease and parent communication. Evidence gathered during the investigation does not support the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be not valid. In addition to the compliant investigation, a monitoring inspection was conducted this day. Any violations that were cited, that were not in reference to the complaint allegations, will be listed on the monitoring inspection.
