Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included more grassy areas in the yard for portable climbing equipment. Your MAT expires 11/19.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11 am - 12:50 pm. There were nine children present with the provider and assistant for 19 points. I observed children listening to a story, engaged in dramatic play, watching an alphabet learning video and preparing for lunch. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov
Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some areas of the physical environment that were in need of repair. Evidence: Outdoors: The metal gate on the top of the stairs was shaky to the touch. There was a loose board on the top of the wooden fence and some other areas of the fence that appeared unstable. Indoors-There were areas of chipped paint observed in the children's area.
-
Plan of Correction:
I will have my husband tighten the gate. The wooden fence is owned by the county but we will see about getting it repaired. The chipped paint will be covered until we can paint.
