Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered regarding children's records, calculation of points and diapering surfaces.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 5/3/21. The person-in-charge was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children (15 points) and 2 caregivers present. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 3 caregiver's and 1 household member's records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. A virtual walk through of the family day home was conducted to assess the indoor space and materials used by the children. First aid supplies were also reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Based on record review, children's records did not contain complete information. Evidence: Child # 1's record was missing the medical insurance policy number.
