Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/05/2023 between the hours of approximately 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. There were 11 children present, ranging in ages from 14 months to 3 years old, with 2 caregivers supervising. At the time of entrance, children were taking their designated rest time.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 4 staff/house member records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on documentation review, and interview with the provider, documentation of emergency evacuation drills was not maintained as required. Evidence: 1) On the date of inspection, the 2023 emergency drills log provided for review, did not have an evacuation (fire) drill documented for the month of September 2023.The provider stated that the drill for September was conducted but they forgot to enter the information in the drills log.

Description:
Based on record review, the provider did not orient caregivers by the end of their first week of assuming job responsibilities. Evidence: 1) On the date of inspection, the record for Caregiver #2 (start date 04/14/2023) did not contain documentation of having completed orientation training with the provider.
