Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 01/04/2021 and concluded on 01/05/2021. The Program Manager was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were no children present as the program has been closed since 3/2020 due to COVID. The program plans to reopen at the end of January 2021. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Based on staff statement, a staff member does not have a copy of the results of a criminal history record information check, a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years. Evidence: Staff #1 was missing the sex offender registry and criminal record check by 12/31/2020.
Plan of Correction:
The sex offender registry was obtained by 1/7/2021 and the criminal record check was requested.
