Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/21/2021 and concluded on 1/22/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present (21 points) and 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 1 child record and 2 caregiver records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. There have been no new enrollments since the last inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review, emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly.
Evidence: There was no documentation of a fire drill completed for the month of October 2020.
Plan of Correction:
I will make sure I also do a fire drill during the months I do a shelter in place drill.
