Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/14/2020 and concluded on 5/15/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 0 children present and 0 staff. the inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children's records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violations notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on review of documents and interviews the center did not have a current annual health inspection. Evidence: 1. The last documented health inspection is dated 10/12/2018.
Plan of Correction:
The director requested an inspection in 2019. Once the restrictions from the COVID-19 are lifted the director will make more requests for an inspection.
