Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection on 10/16/2019 that started at 11:00 am and concluded at 1:10 pm. The inspection was in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 10/16/2019 regarding an allegation of verbal abuse. Interviews were conducted with staff and administration and observations were completed. There was not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding verbal abuse. This complaint is deemed unfounded. Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that when a child is placed in an infant seat ; the protective belt shall be fastened securely.
Evidence: Infants were being placed into individual infant seats, 1 infant was placed into a seat but the protective belt was not fastened securely.
Plan of Correction:
During the inspection, one of the teachers fastened the safety belt.
