Technical Assistance:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
Comments:
A code compliance inspection was initiated on this date. The director was contacted by Zoom to initiate the inspection. There were 23 children present and 4 staff. All 3 occupied classrooms were observed. The children and staff were observed wearing masks, socially distancing and working on Earth Day and Mother's Day projects. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined a non-compliance with applicable code sections and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on staff record review, documentation of a background check was not found for one staff. Evidence: A Central Registry search result was not found for Staff #1.
Plan of Correction:
A new Central Registry search request will be made as soon as possible. Results of the search will be forwarded to the Licensing Inspector within 10 working days for review.
