Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered regarding the following: Physical exams for children, paperwork for new hires, background checks and medications.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:45 pm to 3:15 pm. There were 12 children (30 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed napping, waking up from nap and getting diapers changed. 2 caregiver records, 1 household member record and 5 children's records were reviewed. Emergency drill records and medications were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Based on record review, the family day home did not obtain a physical exam for children enrolled within 30 days of enrollment. Evidence: Child # 1's first day of enrollment at the family day home was 5/1/19. There was no documentation of a physical exam obtained for Child # 1.
Plan of Correction:
We will obtain the documentation from the parents.
