Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered related to: diapering, handwashing, background checks and children's records.
Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/2/23 from 10:45 am to 11:55am. There were 6 children (19 points) present, with 2 caregivers. The children were observed playing with age appropriate toys, diapering and preparing for lunch. A total of 3 children's records, 2 caregiver's records, 1 household member's records and other family day home documents were reviewed. There were no children on site with medications and diagnosed allergies. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on records review, the family day home did not obtain results of a fingerprint based criminal record check (CRC) for employees, every five years. Evidence: 1. The CRC for caregiver # 1 and caregiver # 2 were completed on 5/14/18 and 5/15/18, respectively. 2. Subsequent CRC searches were not completed in 5 years.
Plan of Correction:
The fingerprints will be completed and a follow up will be conducted with licensing once the results have been obtained.
