Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on June 25, 2020 and concluded on June 30, 2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 10:30 a.m. A virtual inspection was conducted beginning at 11:00 a.m. There were two children present and one staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. Several follow-up attempts by phone and email were made to obtain requested documentation. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and one staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on review of documentation and interview with the provider, the provider did not obtain a minimum of 16 hours of training for the licensure period. Evidence: The provider had documentation of 10 hours of training for the June 2019-June 2020 licensure period.
