Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on July 30, 2019 from approximately 9:30 am to 11:35 am. Eight staff were present with fifty-seven children at the onset of inspection. Additional staff arrived during inspection. Five children and five staff records were reviewed.
Based on observation and review, facility did not ensure there is one staff to ten children when there are children ages three years to the age of eligibility to attend public school (five years by September 30) in the group.
Evidence: Between 9:30 am - 10:00 am, two staff were observed with twenty-five children in the school age room. Child #5 (three years old) was present in the group. Staff confirmed to director that child #5 was present in the school age room at the onset of inspection. Director stated a staff member arrived late on this date.
Plan of Correction:
Director will reiterate to staff the importance of being on time.
