An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on October 12, 2023 from approximately 12:00 pm to 1:40 pm. There were 5 children present, ranging in ages from three to four years, with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of five children's records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review, the vendor failed to ensure that staff who work directly with children shall annually attend the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: The record for staff #1, date of employment September 2018, contained an annual health and safety update course dated 2020. The record for staff #2, date of employment 06/01/1987, contained an annual health and safety update course dated 02/26/2021.
