Technical Assistance:
The provider must send documentation to the licensing inspector that the background checks have been requested no later than 10 days following this inspection dated 8/30/2023.
Discussed: Requirements for portability requests and the searches cannot be transferred from provider to provider. The request must go through OBI.
Reminder that CPS will expire in September and to make request through the online portal.

A child was visiting that attending the program and was saying good bye to their friends. Parent verified and was available to have the child leave.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:40 am-11:40 am. There were 12 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 3children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely with blocks, ducks and reading stories. Diapering/ potty procedures were also observed and reviewed. There was a n ample supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Evidence: Caregiver #1 ( Date of Hire 08/21/2023) Criminal History Search dated 7/5/2022 was not requested by the provider. Caregiver #2 - Criminal history search dated 6/28/2018 expired on 6/28/2023. Caregiver #3- Criminal History search dated 6/27/2018 expired on 6/27/2023.

I thought that I could bring the Fingerprints from the old provider. I will make appointments for all of us to get new fingerprints and send you.

Evidence: Caregiver #1's ( date of Hire 8/21/2023) Tuberculosis screen on record is 2/4/22. TB screen must be completed within 30 days prior to hire. Caregiver #2's record does not contain a current TB screen. The last screening expired 4/28/2023 Caregiver #3's record does not contain a current TB screen. The last screening expired 4/28/2023.
