Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 4, 2020 and concluded on June 4, 2020. The director/provider or in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were twenty-four children present and four staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on a review of the fire inspection, the center failed to have an annual fire inspection completed.
Evidence: 1. The fire inspection on file was dated 11/20/2018. 2. Staff verified that the most current fire inspection on file was dated 11/20/2018.
Plan of Correction:
Administration contacted the Fire Marshall. An inspection date has been made for 06/08/2020.
