An unannounced Monitoring inspection was completed this date. A total of 12 children (30pts) with the Provider and 3 Assistants. The children were transitioning from morning activities to lunch. Handwashing procedures and diapering procedures was observed. The staff were strategically positioned throughout the program area to ensure adequate supervision. Observation of the crib room, eating area and bathroom was made. Lunch today was pasta with meat sauce and fruit cocktail. Ample amount of lunch was available for second helpings. The children cleared their plates and washed hands after lunch. A total of 5 children's records and all staff records were reviewed. This inspection occurred between 12pm and 2pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
Based on review of medication onsite. One medication found that requires additional medication administration training and was not maintained in the original pharmacy labeled container. Evidence: 1. An emergency medication did not have a pharmacy label that includes the child's name. 2. An emergency medication requires additional training to administer AuviQ epinephrine. The additional training was not obtained by the Provider.
Plan of Correction:
The additional training in AuviQ training will be completed online.
