Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/25/2021 and concluded on 3/1/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 80 children present and 23 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Based on record review, the center did not obtain the results of a follow-up tuberculosis (TB) screening or testing from the date of the last TB screening or TB testing.
Evidence: Staff#1's record contains TB screening/testing documentation that was last updated on 09/02/2017.
Plan of Correction:
The staff member is working on scheduling an appointment. Appointments are not readily available due to COVID-19. We will inform Licensing as soon as she produces the results.
