Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed key storage for the cleaning supply cabinet. 2. Discussed importance of reviewing medication authorization documents for accuracy and to determine if the SACC program has the actual medication, which appeared staff were doing prior to the inspection.
Comments:
Conducted an unannounced renewal inspection at 4:00pm. Observed 31 children + 2 direct-care staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed arriving and departing for the day, washing hands, eating snack, playing with toys, making a craft project, and going outside for active play. Staff were actively engaged with the children and activities. The program rooms were found to be clean and well supplied toys and equipment for the children. Based on records reviewed, 1 of 3 children's records reviewed did not include required information. Evidence: The record for Child #2 did not include a documentation of a physical exam.
Plan of Correction:
The center supervisor called the parent during the inspection and requested the physical exam be submitted.
