Technical Assistance:
During inspection preparation for nap time to meet the needs of each child was discussed. Provider is to explore quite activities such as coloring books etc.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:30pm-2:30pm. There were 7 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Per provider- There were no medications on site today. Children were observed preparing to rest and engaging in activities. . Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation and conversation with provider it was determined that the vehicle used for transportation of children in care was not licensed according to state law.
Evidence: During inspection provider stated, that the vehicle on site was used for transportation and upon observation the registration for said vehicle was expired as of June 2019

Description:
Based on Observation it was determined that Child A was being forced to nap.
Evidence: During inspection, Child A was on their mat crying, and actively trying to get up and was prevented by caregiver A; Caregiver A had their arm and upper body over the child, resting on their mat.
Plan of Correction:
A behavioral plan will be written with the mother to establish the procedure to help the child learn to follow a routine and to participate properly.
