Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/10/2021 and concluded on 2/12/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children or staff present with the provider. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed the provider's record and five household members records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on review of documentation and interview with the provider, the provider did not obtain the results of a search of the central registry every five years for one household member. Evidence: The central registry results on record for Household Member A were dated 2/1/16. The provider stated that she had not completed a more recent search.
Plan of Correction:
Due to COVID-19 I have not had children enrolled since March 2020. I will complete an updated search right away.
