Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 7/13/22 from 9:50am to 10:35am with the provider. There were no children in care as the provider reports that there are currently no children enrolled. The provider?s record, two pet records, and five household member records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication as they are not currently MAT certified. The emergency drill log for the last year was reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
Based on observation and interview, the provider did not ensure that the family day home was equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
Plan of Correction:
We will purchase and install one today.
